For this project, we had to do a self portrait, and either make it expressive, zombie, or mechanical. I decided to make mine mechanical and inverted colors. I used Prismacolor to do this.
The reason I wanted to do mechanical was because I always thought of smooth skin, not the kind of rusty, steampunk mechanical. And I had originally wanted to do an inverted colors picture, because I wanted to go for a more digital/mechanical robot. Kind of like an AI.
I had a lot of trouble with this project, mostly because I had to draw myself, and I rarely do that. The hardest part was shading the skin because it was inverted, but I'm glad at how it turned out. I also really like the wires that I had pulling out of my face.
